Alexander Lewis Wiki- Alexander Lewis Biography
Alexander Lewis A Wichita man used search terms like ‘choke hold’ and ‘weapons that can kill’ on his cellphone before strangling his pregnant girlfriend and storing her body in the trunk of his car.
A probable cause affidavit released by a Sedgwick County judge shows that Alexander J. Lewis, 22, made searches for information about abortion, stun guns, lethal weapons and murder over a two-day period.
The times of the queries line up with the August 26 death of Zaiylah Quayunna Bronson, 19, who had been dating Lewis since January and was pregnant with a baby boy.
Lewis appeared to be with Bronson in her apartment when he made some of the searches.
The young man was seen on surveillance footage parking his car outside Bronson’s apartment the evening of August 25. That same night, he made inquiries about stun guns, lethal weapons and ‘weapons that can kill.’
Bronson was last seen alive at 8.13am on August 26, when the couple walked a dog in the courtyard of her apartment complex.
Lewis searched the web for ‘choke hold’ at 8.02am and for ‘snapping necks’ at 8.51 and 8.52am, followed by ‘murder’ several times between 10.57 and 11.06am.
He made multiple searches related to abortion which is banned after just over 21 weeks in Kentucky. Bronson was around 16 weeks pregnant.
At 10.15am, Lewis left Bronson’s apartment to move his car closer to the door.
He opened the trunk and grabbed a black backpack containing duct tape, bottled water, clothes, flashlights, towels and trash bags before returning inside.
At 10.24am, Lewis was recorded carrying a wrapped blanket with feet dangling out of the bottom and loading it into the trunk. Three minutes later, he came out carrying the backpack and the dog, then drove off.
Lewis came back to the apartment one last time at 10.42am.
Around 20 minutes later, 911 dispatch received a call from an operator in North Carolina reporting a possible homicide in the Wichita area.
Based on information provided by a relative of Lewis, Wichita Police Department officers were sent to two different locations to check on the welfare of the victim.
Officers were dispatched to the 3900 block of E 17th Street N and the 7600 block of E 21st Street N.

Officers began CPR until EMS arrived and pronounced the 19-year-old dead.
Police tracked Lewis to his apartment using a location ping on his cellphone. They knocked on the door and arrested him when he opened it.
Lewis readily confessed that the teenager’s body was in his trunk.
I got scared. I was over at every place; I didn’t know what to do,’ he said, according to the affidavit.
He told officers Bronson broke up with him earlier on August 25 after a fight.
When he went over to her apartment she ‘was on the phone with another male,’ which angered him. Lewis told police he argued with Bronson throughout the night.
Eventually, the 22-year-old said he wanted her to stop talking so he ‘grabbed her’ around the neck with his arm and squeezed ‘until she stopped moving.’
He told police he panicked, checked for vital signs and then wrapped her in a blanket he took from her bed when he couldn’t find a pulse.
WPD arrested Lewis on a second-degree murder charge. He has not had a chance to enter a not-guilty plea to the capital murder charge which makes him eligible for the death penalty.

‘My beautiful angel has left us, gone to soon. I will never get to see my God grandson, or know what a giving, caring, loving mother she would have been to him. ‘Neither one of them deserved to be taken away from us,’ Wilson wrote.
‘She’ll always be with us in spirit. I can still hear her laughter and when I close my eyes I can still see her smile, we shared some
