Chintzia McIntyre, A teenage boy has been charged with murder after a ‘lovely’ mother was found dead outside her home following a ‘serious assault’.

Chintzia McIntyre, 48, was pronounced dead at the scene after police, paramedics and air ambulance rushed to the property on Phoenix Place in Chapelford, Warrington.

A local woman in the area told The Sun that there was a ‘horrendous scene’ when emergency services turned up shortly after 9.30am on Tuesday, August 29.

Found Dead After Serious Assault

The 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared before Warrington Magistrates’ Court on Thursday morning where he was charged with murder.

Appearing via video link from HMP Wetherby, wearing a gray prison issue jumper, he only spoke to confirm his name and was not asked to enter a plea. The case was referred to Liverpool Crown Court.

A trial, scheduled to last five days, was set for January 29 next year.

Seven police cars were at the scene on Tuesday after being called to the incident, while a police helicopter was spotted circling the area.

A blue forensics tent was soon erected at the scene, with paramedics attending by road ambulance to assist.

People living in the area reported police knocking on doors and visiting businesses asking residents for statements and doorbell camera footage.

DS Jon Betts said on Tuesday: ‘I would like to reassure residents that this is believed to be an isolated incident and there is no risk to the wider community.

‘There is currently an increased police presence in the local area, and I would urge anyone with any concerns to speak to an officer.’

On Thursday police confirmed that a 17 year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, had been charged with murder.

The boy appeared at Warrington Magistrates’ Court on Thursday. He did not enter a plea.

The 17-year-old was remanded in custody and is set to appear at Liverpool Crown Court in November.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “Detectives investigating the death of a woman in Warrington have charged a 17-year-old boy.”

“The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested on Tuesday, August 29, and has since been charged with murder.
