Danelo Cavalcante. US officials said a prisoner considered “extremely dangerous” escaped from a prison in Pennsylvania. Danelo Cavalcante, 34, escaped from the Chester County Jail early Thursday morning (Friday AEST), according to the Chester County District Attorney’s Office. The prison is about 60 miles west of Philadelphia.
He was last seen around 9.40am. m. walking on a road in Pocopson Township, wearing a white t-shirt, gray shorts and white sneakers. “Chester County Detectives and Pennsylvania State Police are conducting an extensive search throughout the county,” the district attorney’s office said. “Danelo Cavalcante is considered an extremely dangerous man,” said Chester County District Attorney Deb Ryan.

Cavalcante was found guilty of first-degree murder on August 16 for killing his ex-girlfriend in 2021. He was sentenced to life in prison without parole last week. Holland says he had a prison-issued uniform when he escaped wearing a white t-shirt and green pants. Officials had confirmation that Cavalcante may have been wearing prison-issued gray shorts.
He is 5 feet tall, weighs 120 pounds and has brown eyes and long dark curly hair. The Chester County District Attorney’s Office is offering a combined $10,000 reward for information leading to Cavalcante‘s arrest. The combined $10,000 is $5,000 each for the Chester County Commissioners and U.S. Marshals.
The teen was laid to rest at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the Trilha do Ceu cemetery.
