Laionie’s heartbroken family today paid tribute to the 18-year-old who they said would “light up a room”.
They wrote: “Laionie was our princess. She was the kindest, most caring daughter and sister we could have asked for.
His smile would light up a room and he was loved by many. I can’t express in words how much you will be missed.
“Thank you to everyone for their kind and generous donations during this incredibly difficult time, our daughter will be given the send off she deserves. “We will love you forever, the brightest star in the sky our Laionie.”
Three 18-year-olds, two men and a woman, were initially arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving causing death, but were released after police investigated the crash.
Police Sergeant Mike Gatfield, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “The thoughts of the investigating team and everyone at Dorset Police are with the family and friends of Laionie Kennard.
We continue to investigate the circumstances of the collision and I would appeal to any witnesses who have not yet spoken to the police, or anyone with relevant footage, to come forward.
“While officers continue their detailed investigation, we would ask that there be no speculation online regarding this very sad incident.”
A GoFundMe page has been created to assist Laionie’s family with financial matters during this difficult time.
Series four of the show aired last September, with the fifth installation set to be released next month.
