Marion Reyes, A wanted Las Vegas woman has been taken back into police custody on Friday, May 12 after she commented on a news post shared on Facebook in connection to her case. With seven DUI arrests, Marion Reyes appealed for help to find the fugitive.

A day after police issued an alert accusing her of cutting off her ankle monitor, the 36-year-old woman surrendered to the Las Vegas police’s traffic bureau. Under a News 8 news story about her case posted to social media, Reyes commented, “I never cut it off!!! An officer cut it off when I turned myself in. They continued to release me.”

Fugitive Arrested After Commenting on Her Own Social Media Wanted Post

In response to Reyes’ comment, the Las Vegas Traffic Bureau replied with its own comment. “Then why not turn yourself in now? Let’s get this sorted out tonight,” read the bureau’s comment. The wanted woman appeared to have agreed to their advice and talked to an intervention officer on Thursday night, May 11. On Friday, May 12, Reyes turned herself in to the police, according to authorities, reported New York Post.

In connection to a felony DUI program, the Nevada woman missed a court date and was later ordered by a judge to spend two days behind bars, reported News 8. Following a plea agreement for her DUI arrest in October which was her seventh since 2007, the last three DUI charges against her were dropped to one. According to court records, Reyens was also allowed to attend a treatment program.

Before the plea deal, prosecutors cited her previous arrests and argued she is held on $50,000 bail. The woman who has now surrendered to authorities is required to have a device on her car and must serve home confinement of six months. The device would prevent her from driving her vehicle impaired. As per the plea agreement, another DUI charge against Reyes would result in her being sent to prison, reported News 8.


As per the court documents, Reyes’s arrest history dates back to April 2007, September 2010, April 2019, February 2020, and July 2020, according to News 8.
