Michael Casey, John Casey, Martin Maloney, Sean McGoldrick Over the course of two months, they committed 22 crimes, targeting homes across London.
John Casey, 43, Michael Casey, 47, Martin Moloney, 42, and Sean McGoldrick, 50, posed as legitimate workmen to enter the homes of their victims.
They would then pose as plumbers and engage them in conversation under the pretence of looking for plumbing issues.
There they would then ask the householder to remove items from under the sink which would work as a distraction technique.
Michael, Martin and Sean McGoldrick would then enter the house and steal jewelery, cash, watches and gold.
Some of the items they stole – such as engagement rings – had sentimental value and were irreplaceable, the Met Police reported.
In total, the gang stole more than £40,000 of cash and jewelery from unsuspecting homeowners.
John would wait outside in the ‘mission vehicle’ to help with their escape.

Gang jailed for robbing the elderly
The group of four drove different vehicles to commit 22 burglaries in just over two months.
An investigation was launched by the Met Police after detectives identified a series of burglaries which occurred between January 17 and March 29 2022.
John, Michael and Martin were arrested in Cricklewood on March 29, 2022, having been observed by police visiting the address of an elderly person.
Enquiries confirmed that the identical method had been used to steal cash from the premises.
They were intercepted in a pub in Cricklewood after they had forensically cleaned their last vehicle.
Sean was arrested a few days later and the four men later pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit burglary.
Appearing at Harrow Crown Court on April 4, 2023, John was jailed for eight years and six months, while Michael was sentenced to seven years and nine months.
Martin was sentenced to five years and four months while Sean was jailed for six years and six months.
Detective Superintendent Simon Moring, from the Met’s Central Specialist Crime – Flying Squad, said: “This investigation focused on a prolific team of burglars who specifically targeted the elderly and vulnerable.
“They posed as legitimate workmen, enabling them to enter the homes of their victims.
“Some of the property they stole had sentimental value and is irreplaceable.
“They were sophisticated in their offending and forensically aware. They frequently changed vehicles to evade capture.
“I should like to thank the members of the public who provided police with information and CCTV footage.
“I should also like to pay tribute to all officers and staff who have worked tirelessly to bring about these convictions.”

The four men were also convicted of conspiracy to murder Harrison and of conspiracy to possess a prohibited weapon and ammunition with intent to endanger life.
